Our time honored Basic Black Bear Bow Hunting package will continue to be the backbone and of paramount importance to French River Bear Outfitters.
Our new Basic Black Bear Firearms Hunting package is designed and based on this same foundation.
We are presently in the midst of designing an All-Inclusive package for both the Archery and Firearms enthusiast and we hope to be able to offer this new package in the near future.
The all-inclusive package would contain all the features of the Basic packages plus all transportation to/from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, transportation to hunting site/bait station, home cooked meals and export permits.
Accommodations are 7 nights and 6 days in a clean comfortable waterfront cottage, containing full kitchen facilities/amenities and equipment as well as outdoor BBQ’s.
There is also access to great fishing from your cottage. Our Back to School Package is open to all legally licensed hunters 16 years of age and up to???, hunting as a family unit.
They are our children or grandchildren no matter what age they are. The only restrictions are that hunters between the ages of 16 to 18 must hunt with-in arms reach of an adult licensed hunter under Ontario law.
A $500.00 deposit per person is required upon booking. Money orders or checks are accepted for deposits. The balance is payable by cash only and due upon arrival.2008 Fall Black Bear Bow/Firearms Hunt Package $1,550.00 U.S.

To purchase an Ontario hunting license you must bring with you an old hunting license from your state. Please do not forget, the Ministry of Natural Resources will not issue you a license without one.
I have listed below the necessary equipment you will need to bring. If possible come in a pick-up truck as in most cases travel on gravel roads is involved.
Four-wheel drives and ATV's are not necessary. A wide range of clothing is needed because of temperature fluctuations. Good rain gear that you can hunt in is a must.
1. Hunting License from your state (Most Important item)
2. Bow or Firearm - possibly a back-up bow/firearm
3. Extra Archery accessories (availability of archery supplies or repair is limited due to the remote nature)
4. Compass (GPS is not necessary but is helpful)
5. Flashlights (2)
6. Head net / Insect repellant
7. Scent Shield or baking soda
8. Camera
9. Meat Coolers
10. Soft bow/firearms case
11. Rubber boots
